Water, sewer, gas, electrical conduit, low-voltage, footings, and French drains — trenched to depth and grade, DigAlert-coordinated, with spoils managed or hauled. One crew for the pool run, the ADU utilities, and the drainage fix.
Gas to the heater, electrical to the equipment pad, plumbing runs — trenched alongside our own pool digs or as a standalone.
Sewer, water, and power from the main house or street to the new unit — often the sneaky-hard part of an ADU project.
French drains, area drains, and downspout tightlines that actually move water off the property.
Open utility trench with marked-out USA/DigAlert paint and clean spoil pile
Depth is set by code and utility type — commonly around 12–24 inches for irrigation and low-voltage, 18–24+ inches for gas and electrical, and deeper for sewer laterals which also need consistent fall. We trench to the governing code and your plans.
Always. DigAlert 811 marking is required by California law at least two working days before digging, and we hand-expose near marked lines.
